Sciendra ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Sciendra mobile application and website (sciendra.com). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and/or phone number for authentication purposes.
Usage Data: We collect information about your quiz activity, including questions attempted, scores, accuracy, bookmarks, and quiz history to provide personalized analytics and track your progress.
Device Information: We may collect device tokens for sending push notifications about daily quizzes and app updates.
Content You Submit:Questions you submit or errors you report through Students' Corner, and the follow-up questions you type into the Ask AI feature.
Payment Information: We never see or store your card or bank details. On iPhone and iPad, subscriptions are processed by Apple, and we receive only a purchase receipt confirming that a subscription is active and when it expires. On Android and our website, payments are processed by Razorpay, whose privacy policy governs that data.
We use the collected information to:
• Provide and maintain our NEET PG preparation service
• Track your quiz performance and provide analytics
• Send daily quiz notifications and important updates
• Verify and activate your subscription (via Apple or Razorpay)
• Answer your follow-up questions through the Ask AI feature
• Improve our question bank and app features
• Respond to your feedback, doubts, and support requests
Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including Firebase Authentication, Firestore Security Rules, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and App Check verification to protect your data from unauthorized access.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only with:
• Firebase (Google): For authentication, database, and cloud functions
• Apple: For subscriptions purchased on iPhone or iPad. We send Apple the purchase receipt to confirm it is genuine; Apple does not receive your Sciendra account details
• Razorpay: For payment processing on Android and the website
• Our AI provider: When you use the Ask AI feature, the question you type and the MCQ it refers to are sent through our servers to a third-party large language model provider to generate the answer. We do not send your name, email, or phone number with it. See section 5 below
• Law enforcement: If required by law or to protect our rights
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
Ask AI answers follow-up questions about a specific MCQ. When you use it, the text you type is sent to our server and forwarded to a third-party language model provider, which generates the answer. Your prompt is also stored in our database, linked to your account, so we can monitor for abuse and improve the feature.
Please do not enter personal, identifying, or patient information into Ask AI. It is intended for questions about exam content only, and its answers are AI-generated and may be incorrect — they are not medical advice.
We retain your account data and quiz history as long as your account is active.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data yourself, at any time, without contacting us: in the app, go to Profile → Delete Account; on the web, use sciendra.com/delete-account. This removes your account, quiz history, bookmarks and progress, and cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store subscription. Cancel that separately in your Apple ID account settings.
Our service is intended for medical students and professionals preparing for NEET PG. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.
You have the right to:
• Access your personal data stored with us
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all data yourself, in-app or on the web (see section 6)
• Opt out of push notifications through device settings
• Withdraw consent for data processing
Our website uses localStorage for session management (login state). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics trackers. We do not display advertisements.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
